Get to Know the Players Who Power Oxted’s Premier Basketball Club
Every team has its identity, but it’s the people behind the name that bring the real magic. At Oxted Rhinos, our squad is more than just a group of players—we’re a family of basketball enthusiasts who bring their unique stories, skills, and energy to the court.
Each week, we train together, compete together, and grow together. Some of us have been playing since childhood, while others discovered the game later in life. What unites us all is the same thing that brought the club into existence: a genuine love for basketball and a strong sense of community.
In our new “Meet the Rhinos” series, we’ll be profiling the players who wear the green and black jersey. You’ll get to know:
- Julien – a founding member whose leadership and playmaking set the tone
- Alex – a force on and off the court, known for his hustle and heart
- Our veterans – who bring years of game knowledge and composure
- Our young guns – hungry for development, fast breaks, and slam dunks
- Coaches and support staff – who help us stay sharp and prepared
We believe every player has a story worth telling. Whether it’s overcoming injury, balancing careers and family life, or chasing a personal goal, the Rhinos are built on determination, resilience, and camaraderie.
Stay tuned as we roll out individual player spotlights—complete with interviews, photos, and a few behind-the-scenes moments you won’t want to miss.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about basketball—it’s about the people who play it.
